Telangana IPE March 2026 exams from February 25; nearly 10 lakh students will appear

TGBIE IPE March 2026: The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has announced that the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) March 2026 theory exams will be held from February 25 to March 18, 2026. The exams will take place daily between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon for both first and second year students in the General and Vocational streams.

According to the Telangana board’s statement, as many as 9,97,075 students are set to appear for the examinations this year. Of them, 4,89,126 are first-year or Class 11 students, while 5,07,949 are second-year or Class 12 candidates, including both regular and private students from across the state.

A total of 4,41,865 first-year students under the general stream will appear for the examinations, including 2,17,428 boys and 2,24,437 girls. In the vocational education stream, 47,261 students will take the exam, comprising 22,586 boys and 24,675 girls.

For second-year students, 4,62,321 candidates from the General stream are set to appear, including 2,31,471 boys and 2,30,850 girls. In the Vocational stream, 45,628 students will sit for the exams, of which 22,429 are boys and 23,199 are girls.

Examination centres and personnel

The exams will be conducted at 1,495 centres across Telangana. These include 404 government junior colleges, 221 government sector colleges, 863 private junior colleges and seven other institutions.

To manage the process efficiently, 1,495 chief superintendents and an equal number of departmental officers have been appointed, along with around 28,500 invigilators.

In addition, 75 flying squads and 200 sitting squads will be deployed to keep a close watch and prevent any malpractice. The board has also shared detailed gender-wise data for first and second year students under both General and Vocational streams.

Monitoring measures and student guidelines

As per the official press release, district-level monitoring committees and high power committees led by district collectors have been formed to oversee the examinations. CCTV cameras have been installed at all centres and linked to a central command control room for real-time supervision.

Students must download their admit cards from the official website and carefully check all details in advance. The board has warned that strict action will be taken against anyone involved in malpractice. To support students during the exam period, Tele-MANAS counselling services will remain available round the clock to help them manage stress and anxiety.
