NEW DELHI: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has announced the final results for the Combined Engineering Services Examination 2023. Candidates who appeared for the recruitment exam can download the TNPSC Combined Engineering Services result 2024 through the official website at tpsc.gov.in.
Candidates who have appeared for the final phase of recruitment examination can access the TNPSC CES results 2024 with their login credentials. Candidates will have to use their registration number and date of birth to download the TNPSC Combined Engineering Services result 2024.
The Commission has conducted the Physical certificate verification and oral test for all the shortlisted candidates in the written exam on August 28 and 29 in two sessions.
TNPSC Combined Engineering Services Exam: Qualifying marks
The minimum qualifying marks for the written exam are generally as follows:
- General candidates: 228 marks out of 500
- SC/ST/OBC candidates: 171 marks out of 500
TNPSC Combined Engineering Services Exam: Selection process
The TNPSC Combined Engineering Services Exam (CESE) selection process involves the following key stages:
1. Written Examination:
- Paper I (300 marks): Subject-specific questions based on the candidate’s engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.).
- Paper II (200 marks): General Studies and Mental Ability questions.
- Candidates must meet minimum qualifying marks to move to the next stage.
2. Document Verification:
- Candidates who clear the written exam are called for verification of original documents, including educational certificates, identity proof, and caste certificates (if applicable).
3. Oral Test (Interview):
- Candidates shortlisted after document verification attend an interview (70 marks) to assess their personality, technical knowledge, and communication skills.
4. Final Merit List:
- Based on the total score from the written exam (500 marks) and the interview (70 marks), TNPSC prepares a merit list for final selection. Selected candidates are issued appointment orders and posted to various departments like Public Works, Highways, and Rural Development.
