UGC NET June Answer Key 2026 LIVE: Response sheet for JRF PhD admissions tomorrow; direct link, marking scheme

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 answer key will be issued tomorrow, August 16 on its official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates who appeared for the UGC NET exam, held on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30, will be able to download the provisional answer key with the help of their login credentials such as application number, and password or date of birth.

Moreover, the NTA , through its official X account, also announced that the provisional answer keys for CSIR-NET, ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE (PhD) 2026 will be published on August 16.

The testing agency has advised the candidates to “rely only” on the official NTA communication channel.

UGC NET answer key challenge fee

The computer-based competitive examination - UGC NET June 2026 session was conducted to assess candidates’ eligibility for assistant professor positions, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and PhD admissions in 87 subjects.

Candidates will be able to access the UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer key, along with the question paper and individual response sheets tomorrow.

Those who will not be satisfied with the UGC NET 2026 provisional answer key, will be able to raise objections against it by paying a requisite fee of Rs 200 per question.

The NTA will prepare the UGC NET June 2026 final answer key after reviewing the objections raised by the candidates.

Last year, more than 7 lakh candidates wrote the UGC NET examination, of which 1,17,058 qualified the CBT-exams for JRF, assistant professor and admission to PhD programmes.

The UCG NET June 2026 question paper consists of a total of 300 marks, including 100 questions in paper 1 and 50 queries in paper 2.

As per the marking scheme, there is no negative marking for incorrect response, and candidates will be awarded 2 marks for each correct answer.

Candidates can check the steps given below to download the UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer, response sheet and individual scores.

• Go to the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
• On the homepage, click on “UGC NET June 2026 Answer Key / Challenge Window.”
• A new window will open.
• Enter login details such as application number and password or date of birth.
• Press the submit icon.
• UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer key and response sheet will appear on the screen.
• Check answers and raise objections if found.

The UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer key will include details such as exam subject with code, exam date and shift, correction ID and question ID.
