The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 provisional answer key on the official website at csirnet.nta.nic.in. Applicants can download the answer key, by using the details including the application number and date of birth. Candidates can raise the objections against the provisional answer key from 16 to 18 August 2026, up to 11 pm. To challenge the answer key, applicants need to pay a non-refundable objection fee of Rs 200 per question. Aspirants who find discrepancies in the provisional answer key can file objections online during the specified window. The NTA will publish the final answer key after examining all the challenges received.

The official notice reads, "In respect of the three remaining subjects, namely English, Commerce and Sociology, a committee was constituted to look into the complaints received regarding various types of errors in the question papers. Based on the recommendations of this committee, a public notice with regard to these 3 subjects is being issued separately, later today."

Under the marking scheme, candidates will be awarded 2 marks for every correct answer. There is no negative marking for incorrect responses, and no marks are awarded or deducted for questions left unanswered.

• Visit the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.ac.in
• On the homepage, open the UGC NET June 2026 Answer Key link under the Candidate Activity section
• Sign in using your application number and date of birth
• View the provisional answer key along with your recorded response sheet
• Save the documents and match your responses with the answer key to calculate your expected score

The UGC NET exam was conducted from June 22 to June 30, 2026 at various centres across the country in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The medium of exam was English and Hindi, except for language papers.

UGC NET June Result 2026

The NTA is expected to announce the UGC NET June 2026 result after examining all objections submitted against the provisional answer key.
