University of Hyderabad: IPB University, Indonesia team visits campus

University of Hyderabad office for international affairs coordinated the IPB University's team visit.
NEW DELHI: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) welcomed a team from IPB University, Bogor, Indonesia to its campus. The Indonesian team had Ernan Rustiadi, vice-rector for research, innovation, and agro maritime development; Edi Santosa, plant ecologist and psychologist, and Bharath K Alam, ICAR-CRIDA, Liaison Officer G20 summit.
According to the university, the delegation met B J Rao, vice chancellor, UoH, and discussed the collaborations and briefed the deans and directors of various schools on the opportunities for further joint activities. Rao emphasised the culture, heritage, and history of both countries.

The delegation also conducted an information exchange session with the faculty members at the school of life sciences, led by professor Rajagopal, head of the department of plant sciences. The office for international affairs UoH coordinated the delegation's visit, represented by Alok Kumar Mishra.
N Siva Kumar, dean of the school of life sciences, and Rajagopal, head of the department of plant sciences, highlighted the teaching, programmes, research activities, lab facilities, and Aspire BioNEST of the school of life sciences of UoH.

Ghanshyam Krishna, director IoE, and Samrat L Sabat, director of the R and D cell, spoke about the University’s activities and growth in academic research and emphasised interdisciplinary research.
Alok Kumar Mishra, associate director of OIA and faculty of the School of Economics at UoH, said. “ The internationalisation of Education by focusing on International Mobility, academic collaboration in terms of joint degrees and diplomas, Joint project collaborations, student exchange between the Universities, designing of the customised summer, spring, and fall short-term programme.” Mishra further encouraged the IPB delegations to initiate the collaboration between the universities and schools in India and Indonesia.
