University of Leeds opens applications for MSc programme; Scholarships for Indian students

The 12-month programme starting from September 2026 offers scholarships for Indian students and focuses on advanced health data analytics, AI, and healthcare systems.
University of Leeds has opened applications for its full-time MSc Health Informatics with Data Science programme for the September 2026 intake, inviting Indian students to apply. The start date for the programme is September 2026 and the application deadline is July 31,. The duration of the course is 12 months (full-time).
The university statement said that the 12-month course is designed to equip students with advanced skills in health data analytics, statistics, artificial intelligence, and healthcare systems to support evidence-based decision-making and innovation in the health sector.
Entry requirements include a first-class or grade equivalent undergraduate degree in a relevant subject from a recognised Indian university. In terms of English language requirements, students must have Standard XII English at 70% or 75% depending on the state board, or an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any component.

University of Leeds: Fees and scholarships
Tuition fees for the programme are £29,750 ( Rs 35,01,012). The university has announced scholarship opportunities for Indian students, including £6,000 ( Rs 7,35,913) International Masters Regional Scholarships for all Indian applicants and 500 international excellence scholarships offering up to a 50% fee reduction for international students.
The statement said that the interdisciplinary programme offered by the Faculty of Medicine and Health in collaboration with the Institute of Health Sciences and the Department of Computer Science blends data science expertise with practical healthcare applications.
The curriculum covers core areas such as statistical modelling, artificial intelligence, human factors, and the legal, ethical and governance frameworks surrounding health data use. Students will gain hands-on experience working with real-world healthcare datasets and undertake a research project aligned with current industry and policy challenges, the statement added.
