Download EbookNEW DELHI, APRIL 4: VITEEE 2018 has begun at 9 am today, April 4. This first session, on the first day of the entrance test will end at 11.30 am. Vellore Institute of Technology is conducting the engineering entrance examination in a window of 12 days, from April 4 to 15 in online mode. The entrance test is being held in 3 sessions everyday across 120 exam centre cities in India and 4 abroad. The first session is being held from 9 am to 11.30 am, while the second and the third sessions are being conducted from 12.30 pm to 3 pm and 4 pm to 6.30 pm respectively.

Candidates have to answer a total of 125 questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English sections within 2.30 hours. Each question will carry a weightage of 1 mark. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics sections will have 40 questions each, while English will have 5 questions.
The application form of VITEEE 2018 closed on March 18, which was available in online as well as offline mode, while the admit card was released on March 21. To confirm the date and time of test taking, all registered candidates had to book their test slots from March 21 to 24.
This year, the engineering entrance examination is being held across 124 exam centre cities in India and abroad, while last year the test was conducted across 119 exam cities in India and abroad. This means that VITEEE is being held at 5 more exam cities this year. Along with the increase in exam centre cities this year, the university has also increased the fee for offline and online application form of VITEEE 2018 to Rs. 1200 (inclusive of GST) from Rs. 990 and to Rs. 1150 (inclusive of GST) from Rs. 970 respectively.
VIT University will announce the result of VITEEE 2018 for candidates who are taking the entrance test, on April 25. Post the result announcement, VITEEE counselling will take place in the second and the third week of May 2018 in 2 rounds.
Approximately 2.33 lakh candidates appear in VITEEE every year for admission to B.Tech programmes across its 4 campuses at Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and AP.
