Download EbookNEW DELHI, MARCH 21: Vellore Institute of Technology(VIT) has opened the slot booking of VITEEE 2018 for all eligible candidates on March 21. To book their slots, candidates need to log into the Online Test Booking System(OTBS) using their application number and password. Using the slot booking facility, candidates will be able to book the day and time of the exam from the available options. Slots are available on first-come, first-served basis, so candidates mustn’t wait for too long; if a particular slot fills out, it will not be available for selection. During the slot booking process, the candidate has to enter details like test name, test city, and select the time and date of the exam. Admit cards for the entrance exam will be issued only post successful slot booking.

Important Points related to Slot Booking
- The slot-booking is a real time process and has to completed in 1 minutes.
- Also, once a slot has been booked, it cannot be changed afterwards.
- If a particular slot is unavailable, the candidate may select from the next best options.
- The candidate is urged to use compatible browsers like Mozilla Firefox to ensure the process is smooth. Also, it is recommended to remove old cookies before starting the booking process.
Details to be entered at the time of slot booking
- Name of the test
- State/International
- Exam city
- Date and time of the examination
- Address of the exam centre
- Subject combination: PCM or PCB
The institute had earlier released a mock booking demo, to enable the candidate understand the booking process. The demo included the steps the candidate had to go though, and information that has to be entered to successfully complete the process.
Upon successful booking of test slot, the candidates will be able to download their admit cards. The admit card, apart from other information, will contain details entered by the candidate at the time of slot booking, like date and time of the exam, exam city. Other details that will be displayed on the admit card are name of the candidate, application number, scanned photo of signature. Before downloading the admit card, the candidate must ensure that the details mentioned on it are correct. In case there is any discrepancy, for example, the photograph is blurred or the text is not easily legible, the candidate must contact admission authorities immediately.
VITEEE 2018 will be conducted in computer-based mode from April 4-15. The exam will be conducted across three session a day. On the day of the exam, candidates mustn’t forget to bring along their admit cards, as without it entry to the exam hall is not allowed.
