Students, teachers, parents, and school management committee members actively took part in yoga demonstrations in both government and private schools, marking a significant step in holistic education. “Mass participation across thousands of schools highlights our commitment to student well-being,” said State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha, B Srinivasa Rao in a press release late on Saturday.
Rao said such large-scale yoga initiatives were aimed at promoting mental, physical, and emotional health, embedding wellness into daily school life. The school education department emphasised continued focus on holistic development and community participation, aligning with India’s broader Yoga Day mission and education goals.
