6 days left to download NEET admit card 2020: check exam day checklist

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the admit card of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - NEET 2020 on its official website (ntaneet.nic.in). Registered candidates can download the same till the date of the exam which is September 13, 2020. NEET 2020 is being conducted for admission to 80,055, MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH and 525 BVSc & AH offered in colleges of India. Along with this, from the year 2020, admission to medical and dental seats offered in the institutes of AIIMS and JIPMER will also be through NEET. Given below is a checklist for candidates to be followed till the day of examination.

NEET 2020 checklist

  • Verify details mentioned on the admit card of NEET.

  • Download the NEET 2020 hall ticket and take 3-4 printouts of the same.

  • Go through all the points mentioned in the ‘IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES’ and ‘ADVISORY FOR CANDIDATES REGARDING COVID-19’

  • Sign the self-declaration for COVID-19 provided in a column on the first page of the admit card.

  • Remember to follow the dress code and COVID-19 guidelines on NEET 2020 exam day.

  • Take along all the necessary documents to be carried at the NEET 2020 exam centre.

NEET COVID-19 Advisory

On August 21, 2020, NTA issued NEET advisory of COVID-19 for all functionaries associated with the smooth conduct of the medical examination. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, conducting NEET 2020 exam is a big challenge for the authorities since it will be held in the offline mode with 15.97 lakh candidates. It is the major reason why the SOP has been issued. NEET 2020 advisory, also known as Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), has been drafted by the top medical experts of All India Institute Of Medical Science (AIIMS), in order to maintain a safe and secure environment for all the people - from candidates to staff involved in the exam. The advisory by NTA mentions the three major measures to be taken at the exam centres, which include pre-examination, during the exam and post-examination.

NTA NEET 2020 COVID-19 advisory considers the social distancing measures right from the entry of the candidates to up to their exit. The centre superintendent will be conducting training for Invigilators and all staff. NEET aspirants must make sure they follow all the guidelines issued by the authorities in order to ensure their safety and safety of people around them.
