ABBS MBA entrepreneurship admissions open for 2026–27, offering practical startup experience, investor networking, and industry mentoring
Acharya Bangalore Business School (ABBS) has opened applications for its MBA in entrepreneurship for the 2026–27 academic year. The programme is designed to help aspiring founders become market-ready entrepreneurs, with a curriculum that requires students to create, register, and run real businesses before graduating.
The applications for this programme are now being accepted and will remain open until July 31. Candidates can apply through the institute’s official website at application.abbs.edu.in/abbs-goi. The programme commences on August 6, 2026.
As per the eligibility, candidates must have a graduate degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) along with valid scores in exams such as CAT, MAT, CMAT, or KMAT.
ABBS MBA Programme 2026 : Limited seats
The batch size is limited to 60 students. This allows for more focused mentoring and closer interaction with industry professionals. Students are guided by entrepreneurs and also receive support in areas such as legal, financial, and digital aspects of running a business.
The entrepreneurship MBA is different from traditional programmes where the subject is mostly elective or a case-study exercise. Instead, the institute has designed the course to integrate startup-building into each semester, so students graduate as founders rather than just management professionals.
As outlined by the institute, students start with idea validation, market research, and prototype development in the first year. In the second year, the focus shifts to registering the business, pitching to investors, and running operations. The institute says this approach ensures that students gain hands-on experience throughout the programme.
MBA students graduating as founders
The programme follows a structured, semester-wise journey that takes students from market analysis and business planning to prototype development, business registration, investor engagement, and eventually full-scale operations. Along the way, students receive live mentoring from experienced entrepreneurs and industry practitioners, while also getting opportunities to network directly with venture capitalists and angel investors. The curriculum integrates AI and digital tools throughout, and each venture is supported with dedicated legal, financial, and digital guidance.

Students also gain access to government-backed incubation ecosystems and funding programmes, and according to the institute, they graduate with both a fully operational business and an MBA degree.
The programme is backed by a strong network of institutional and entrepreneurial partners, including KSCST, SIDBI, MSME, NSIC, FKCCI, K-Tech, TiE, ENACTUS, and other industry bodies. Through these collaborations, students get exposure to funding opportunities, policy support, mentorship, and market connections that extend beyond traditional classroom learning.
