: After the cancellation of CBSE Class 10 exams and the postponement of Class 12 exams, many state boards are thinking to do the same due to the spike in the number of
COVID-19
cases across the country. The members of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) met on Tuesday to discuss the possibility of postponing the Gujarat board exams 2021, according to the
Times of India
report.

However, no conclusive decision was taken on the postponement of the exams. It is expected that the board members will hold another meeting soon to take a final decision. For now, the Gujarat board exam 2021 for Class 10 and 12 are scheduled from May 10, 2021.
As per the TOI report, sources in the state education board said, “The government may consider delaying the exam by 2-3 weeks but a final decision on it will be announced later.”
The report further added, the Gujarat Vali Mandal in their representation to Chief Minister Vijay Rupani urged the government to postpone the exams further to June 2021.
April-May is the exam session in the country for most of the state boards and CBSE . However, the recent spike in the number of COVID-19 cases in the nation brings a tangled situation. The exam conducting authorities are mulling on whether or not to hold the board exams. Students are advised to regularly check the Gujarat board official website - gseb.org - for the latest updates.
