NEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) will declare the All India Bar Examination, or AIBE 17, results 2023 on April 27 or April 28, sources told the Careers360. Law aspirants who appeared in the February 5 AIBE XVII exam 2023 will be able to download the results from the official website, allindiabarexamination.com.
“BCI will declare AIBE XVII (17) results 2023 this month. The results are expected to be out tomorrow or day after,” as per sources.
The AIBE 17 results 2023 which were scheduled to be declared on February 20 were delayed. Following the law entrance exam, the council published the answer key immediately and later removed the link from the website. Although there was no official confirmation on AIBE 17 result date, the AIBE helpdesk informed us that the results will be declared by March-end or April first week.
After repeated delays, an advocate approached the Supreme Court recently and stated in the petition that “BCI is jeopardizing the right of the Petitioner to practice as an Advocate and affecting her livelihood”, the Live Law reported. Nearly two and a half months later, the Bar Council uploaded the AIBE 17 revised final answer key 2023.
Candidates who qualify the AIBE 17 exam 2023 will be awarded the Certificate of Practice (COP) for practicing law in an Indian court. The results for the law entrance exam will be computed for a total of 98 questions as two out of 100 questions were dropped. According to the AIBE 17 cut-off 2023, general category candidates will have to score 40% and Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) will have to score 35%.
