The educator has also shared some tips NEET UG aspirant can check in the last 10 days of their preparation to ace the exam. NEET UG 2023 exam is scheduled to be held on May 7. Decrypt the exam pattern: Every exam demands aspirants to hold a strong understanding of its question paper. Similarly, NEET UG aspirants must be aware that it will be conducted offline on an OMR sheet for 3 hours and 20 minutes. The paper contains 200 questions, of which 180 are to be answered. Each correct answer rewards four marks, while one incorrect answer deducts one mark.

Understanding the subject division: NEET UG exam not only assess aspirants theoretical knowledge but also assess their analytical skills. Therefore, focusing more on concepts is advisable rather than just memorising facts. In the exam, the questions can be in numerous forms like statement-wise questions, true or false, match the following and others.
To master this, the expert said, NCERT-based questions can offer great practice for aspirants. Since the exam tests aspirants on their knowledge of physics, chemistry and biology, aspirants must ensure equal time division. However, the physics and chemistry section of the exam tends to be more challenging than the biology section, he added.

Subject focus areas: NEET UG, over the years, has shown great variability in its questions, making it difficult to pinpoint specific chapters of great significance. However, as per the 10-year analysis of the previous years' paper and, some subjects do have topics repeated, for example for physics, modern physics, current electricity, magnetism, optics, work power energy, law of motion, and simple harmonic motions are critical and are frequently asked.
For chemistry, chemical bonding and molecular structure, chemical thermodynamics. Chemical kinetics, alcohols and ethers, p block elements, general organic chemistry, coordination compounds, s block elements, alkali and alkaline earth metals and hydrogen and biomolecules and polymers are important.
For biology, the educator added, questions from biotechnology, genetics, cell, morphology, reproduction, human physiology and plant physiology are usually repeated.

Master revisions: Aspirants should begin their day with revision and end their day with a quick refresher on critical topics to cover ground on each important topic on a daily basis. The revision should be done from personal notes as they are the best source of important subject matter and key points.
Additionally, the focus should be on establishing fixed schedules for mock tests on OMR sheets. Aspirants can mirror their mock tests with the actual exam time between 2 and 5:20 pm. This needs to be followed by a close analysis of the mock test to ascertain weak areas.
Exam time management: Time management on exam day is a crucial trick to master for NEET UG. The best way to achieve it is by taking up numerous mock tests. On exam day, aspirants should read the paper thoroughly before beginning. Then, they can solve the paper in two modes for all subjects - easy and difficult. They should first attempt questions that are average or easy and post that look at solving the above-average and difficult questions last, the expert suggested.
