AICTE, CTE to launch ‘Technovate’ hubs to boost AI, ML, cybersecurity skills across India

The Centre of Excellence will empower colleges, including establishment in rural and suburban areas by providing access to top tier IT resources, knowledge sharing, and mentorship.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Consortium for Technical Education (CTE) have joined hands to establish technology hubs to connect Centers of Excellence (CoEs) with higher education institutions using a hub-spoke model.
The collaboration aims to strengthen local start-up ecosystems and boost technical skill development nationwide. The partnership will also bridge the gap between technology and higher education institutions across the country.
Throwing light upon the need for advanced skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and cybersecurity, T G Sitharam, chairman, AICTE , said: “This collaboration paves the path for connecting knowledge, labs, and mentorship nationwide so our youth can build tomorrow’s solutions, making India a global leader in tech innovation.”
The initiative aligns with India’s AI mission to drive innovation and entrepreneurship at scale, according to the official press release.

AICTE Indovation Centre in Jaipur
The CoEs will empower colleges, including establishment in rural and suburban areas with access to top tier IT resources, knowledge sharing, and mentorship, the press release reads.
The Technovate hub will be launched at the AICTE Indovation Centre in Jaipur with plans for further expansion.
“Technovate hubs will deliver a series of training programs, offering hands-on capacity building, advanced technical training, and exposure to global standards for educators and learners, equipping them to thrive in the digital economy,” it added.
K A Alagarsamy, director, CTE, said: “It enables academia and industry to co-create impactful innovations.”
The CTE’s pro-bono will hire global and Indian experts to provide mentorship, incubation, and guidance to HEIs, faculty, start-ups, and students innovations in developing prototypes.
It will also help in protecting intellectual property within the Industry 40 domain.
