AICTE revised academic calendar 2021-22: First year classes to begin from November 30

NEW DELHI: All India Council for Technical Education has released the revised academic calendar 2021-22 for all AICTE approved institutions and universities. According to the schedule announced by AICTE, classes for first-year students of technical courses will begin by November 30, 2021.

Classes may be started in online/offline or blended mode (Online as well as Offline) following the prescribed protocols related to pandemic, the official notice read.

However, the schedule released by AICTE is not applicable for the institutions that have already completed the admission process and started the classes as per the earlier schedule. The official notice further instructed such institutes to follow the new schedule for cancellation and fee refund if it admits new students against vacancies.

The induction programme for first year students will begin from November 15 and the last date for cancellation of seats for technical courses with full fee refund is November 25.

“Due to the direction by High Court, some of the Institutes have been given increase in intake/ new courses, etc. They need University affiliation to conduct the program. Further, JEE, JEE Advanced exams and Counseling in different states are delayed requiring changed schedule,” it said.
