Eligibility
For AP LAWCET 2026, candidates applying for the 3-year LLB course must have completed a graduate degree from a recognised university. General category candidates need at least 45% marks, BC candidates 42%, and SC/ST candidates 40%, with slight rounding off (such as 44.5%) considered eligible. Those who do not meet the required marks in graduation may still qualify if they achieve the minimum percentage in an additional undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
For the 5-year LLB course, candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with the same minimum marks criteria for each category, along with the same rounding rule. For admission to the 2-year LLM course through AP PGLCET, candidates must hold a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree. Final-year LLB students are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the required marks at the time of counselling.
