Subscribe NowThe Department of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, has issued the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) 2026 notification on the official website of APCSE at cse.ap.gov.in. Applicants can start filling out the forms till July 5, 2026. Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 1000 for each paper they apply for.
The exam will be administered in a computer-based format, with each paper lasting 150 minutes. The examination will take place in two shifts daily: the morning session will run from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon, while the afternoon session will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
The AP TET is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in schools across the state. Paper I is designed for aspirants who wish to teach students in Classes 1 to 5 at the primary level, while Paper II is for those seeking teaching roles in upper primary classes, covering Classes 6 to 8.

AP TET 2026: Steps to apply
To submit the applications for the AP TET 2026, candidates can follow the steps given below:
- Visit the official website of APCSE at cse.ap.gov.in
- On the homepage, click on the Apply Online/Application Link
- Click on the new register dialogue box and enter the basic details
- Upload the photograph & signature, tick the declaration, enter the verification code and then create login credentials
- Enter the journal number, login to application form and then fill out the educational qualifications
- Choose the paper(s), fill out the application form and then submit
- Make the payment using payment gateway and then submit the form
- Download the confirmation page and take a printout for further reference

AP TET 2026 Exam: Passing marks
To qualify in AP TET, candidates must secure the minimum marks prescribed for their respective categories. Candidates belonging to the Open Category (OC) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) are required to score at least 60 per cent, which is equivalent to 90 marks or above. For candidates from the Backward Classes (BC) category, the qualifying threshold is 50 per cent, or 75 marks and above. Meanwhile, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen categories must obtain a minimum of 40 per cent, corresponding to 60 marks or above.
