Application for University of Hyderabad’s Srinivas Rayaprol poetry competition begins
Persons applying for the Srinivas Rayaprol Poetry Prize should be in the age group 20 to 40 years. The prize carries an award of Rs 15,000.

NEW DELHI: The Srinivas Rayaprol Poetry Prize will be presented at a literary event in October 2023.
The University of Hyderabad’s department of english has invited entries from Indian citizens in english poetry for the 15th Srinivas Rayaprol Poetry Prize. The prize is jointly administered by the Srinivas Rayaprol Literary Trust.
The applicants should be in the age group 20 to 40 years. The prize carries a cash award of Rs 15,000 and a citation.

Interested persons can email their entries on the email address rayaproltrust@gmail.com. The applicants have to send their entries before September 4.
The prize will be presented at a literary event in October 2023. The entries will be judged by a distinguished jury of poets and literary personalities.
Entries must include three different, unpublished poems written by the applicant. The poems should be included in one single word or pdf document and not as separate files. The candidates will also have to change the evidence of age such as scanned copy of Aadhar card, passport card and driver's licence.
The candidates will also include the complete contact information, including phone numbers and email addresses. The candidates didn’t have to put their names on the word or PDF documents.
The trust was established in 2000 in commemoration of poet Srinivas Rayaprol, two years after his death. He is considered to be one of the significant personalities of the early Indian English poetry scene.
