BBOSE Class 10, 12 June exam 2026 starts from July 31; timings, barred items

BBOSE Class 10 and 12 exams will be held in two shifts till August 18, 2026 with frisking, CCTV surveillance and strict entry rules at centres
The Bihar Board of Open Schooling and Examination (BBOSE) will conduct the secondary (Class 10) and senior secondary (Class 12) June 2026 examination from July 31, 2026. The class 10 exam will conclude on August 12, 2026 and class 12 June examination will end on August 18, 2026.
The BBOSE examination will be conducted in two shifts and students are advised to reach the exam centre 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination. Every student will get 15 minutes to read and understand the question paper.
The main gate will close at 9 am for the morning session, which starts at 9:30 am and in the afternoon, the gate will close at 1:30 pm for the 2 pm exam. Those who will arrive at the exam centre after the gate closes will not be allowed to enter the centre.

This year, more than 26,000 students are going to appear for the exam across 57 centres in the state. Out of which, 13,923 students are going to appear for the secondary examination at 33 centres, while 12,217 applicants will write the senior secondary exam at 24 centres.
BBOSE June Exam 2026: Frisking, CCTV and banned items
To conduct the examination smoothly and fairly, BSEB chairman Tyagarajan SM has directed district magistrates, superintendents of police and district education officers in the nine divisional districts to make necessary arrangements. For coordination and grievance redressal, the board has also set up a control room that will remain active till 10 pm on August 18, 2026.
The board will take strict security measures to stop malpractice during the examinations. All students will undergo two rounds of frisking, once while entering the exam building and again before entering the exam hall. The board will also install CCTV cameras, while one videographer will be deployed for every 500 candidates.
The items which are barred in the examination hall are mobile phones, calculators, bluetooth devices, earphones or any other electronic gadgets.
