BHU's Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan internship application deadline extended

BHU is offering one-year internship for PG students, eligible candidates to get Rs 20,000 monthly. Application deadline extended to November 9.
NEW DELHI: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) extends the application deadline for the 'Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Internship' aiming to help students gain professional exposure and increase employability. The application deadline is extended till November 9, 2022 on BHU's official website – bhu.ac.in.
The one year internship will a monthly stipend of Rs 20,000 with courses including library sciences, physical education, education, performing arts and visual arts. Only BHU students with a post graduate degree in the mentioned courses are eligible to apply. Those who have been awarded gold, silver or bronze medals in national or international events in the proposed five courses can also apply.

The internship offers 100 positions in five different industries to students. A total of 20 seats are available for students from library science, out of which 15 seats are for master's in library and information Science and 5 for master's in computer application (MCA) and master's of science in computers. 20 seats are available for physical education and 20 for education, from which 16 seats are for master's in education (MEd) and 4 for MEd (special education).
There are 20 vacant seats for performing arts which include 11 for Tabla, 5 for vocals, 2 for Violin, and 1 each for bharatnatyam and kathak. Lastly, there are 20 seats for visual arts from which 5 each for painting and plastic art, 4 for applied arts and 3 each for textile design and pottery ceramics.

The internship scheme is being managed by the Sponsored Research Industrial Consultancy Cell (SRICC) at BHU. The BHU vice-chancellor will form a university level committee which will interview shortlisted candidates and make recommendations.
The candidates will be selected for the Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Internship through the discipline-level screening committee. Selected candidates will be assigned jobs based on their qualifications and opportunities available at time.
