Subscribe NowNEW DELHI: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has included 9,431 posts of school teachers for Classes 1 to 5 in the Bihar education department teacher recruitment process 2023. Candidates can apply for the vacancies on the official website, bpsc.bih.nic.in.
Candidates applying for the posts should be a citizen of India. They should have passed the Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test paper 1. It will not be mandatory for teachers appointed and working before the year 2012, who have passed the efficiency test, to clear the teacher eligibility test.
As per the provisions applicable to CTET candidates in the BTET, 2017, should have 60 per cent marks. Those belonging from backward class, extremely backward class, general category, scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and disabled category candidates should have 50% marks in the qualifying exams.
The BPSC said for appointment to the post of school teacher, the candidates must possess the educational and training qualifications prescribed by the National Teacher Education Council.

Eligibility Criteria
- Senior secondary or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and two year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 45% marks and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education obtained in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations 2002
- Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
The BPSC said 5% relaxation will be given to the candidates belonging to SC, ST, EWS, OWS and PWd in educational and educational qualification.
