NEW DELHI: Engineering aspirants often search for admission processes in universities where intake of students for Btech courses is based on Class 12 scores. Such admission processes shortlist candidates on the basis of their marks instead of any entrance exam. BTech admissions 2021 based on Class 12 score
Following are the engineering admission processes accepting Class 12 scores for admissions-
Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA)
Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu conducts TNEA admissions based on Class 12 scores of students. A candidate should have passed their Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate score in physics, chemistry, and mathematics in order to be eligible for TNEA admission. However, the minimum required percentage for reserved category candidates is 40%.
Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP)
The Centre for Electronic Governance (CEG), Rajasthan conducts the REAP process. A candidate should have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from RBSE, CBSE or a recognized board of education with a 45% (40% for reserved). Other than this, candidates should have mathematics and physics as compulsory subjects in Class 12 along with any one of the subjects from chemistry, biotechnology, technical vocational subject/ computer science/ information technology/ informatics practices/ agriculture/ engineering graphics/ business studies and biology. Candidates having a diploma in engineering are also eligible for REAP admission.
Madhya Pradesh BE Admission
The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) conducts the MP BE admission process for admission in BE/ BTech courses in Madhya Pradesh on the basis of marks in Class 12 /JEE Main. Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from Madhya Pradesh Secondary board or any other recognized board with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) to be eligible for MP BE admission. Moreover, candidates should have maths and physics as compulsory subjects in Class 12 and anyone among biology, chemistry, biotechnology or computer science as optional subjects.
As MP BE admission process also accepts JEE Main scores; those having valid JEE Main scores are also eligible for admission.

Punjab BTech Admission
IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar conducts the Punjab BTech admission process on the basis of Class 12 and JEE Main scores. Candidates should have studied physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects in Class 12 to be eligible for admission. Students should have studied chemistry/ computer science/ biotechnology/ biology as optional subjects. Candidates with a diploma in engineering are also eligible for Punjab BTech admission. Those applying through JEE Main should have valid scores.
Sastra University
Sastra University (Deemed to be) Class 12/ equivalent exam and JEE Main scores for admission to BTech courses offered by the university. A candidate must have passed Class 12 or any other equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in mathematics and physics as compulsory subjects and any among chemistry/ biotechnology/ computer science/ biology to be eligible for Sastra University BTech admission. The university offers admission to 70% of the total BTech seats through JEE Main scores and 30% of the total seats through Class 12 scores. Those applying through JEE Main should have valid scores.
At present, many exams have been postponed due to increasing COVID-19 cases. It may be possible that many other admission processes consider class 12 scores for BTech admissions the same as last year.
