CAT 2025 notification soon; admission criteria for 21 IIMs, eligibility, fee requirements

Download EbookThe Indian Institute of Management (IIM) will soon announce the Common Admission Test (CAT) notification 2025 on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. Candidates who qualify CAT are eligible to apply for admissions to the top 21 IIMs and other management colleges across the country.
IIM conducts the CAT 2025 every year for admissions to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and other management programmes. In 2024, the CAT exam was conducted by IIM Calcutta . IIM will likely conduct CAT 2025 in December, and the registration process will begin tentatively in August 2025.
The CAT exam 2025 is held once a year. The previous year’s CAT application fee was Rs 2,500 for general category and Rs 1,250 for reserved category. Over 3.2 lakh candidates took the CAT exam last year.
The exam conducting body will announce the CAT 2025 exam schedule, along with the official notification.
As per the CAT eligibility criteria, there is no minimum age limit for the entrance exam. However, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% in case of other category candidates), or a professional CA, CS, Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI) is required.
