The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) had submitted the evaluation criteria before the Supreme Court on June 17, 2021. The Supreme Court of India initially accepted the CBSE Class 12 evaluation criteria 2021, however, asked the boards to incorporate grievances redressal mechanism, date of optional exam, etc in it.
Several students had questioned the CBSE and CISCE’s evaluation formula and sought directions to conduct physical examinations.
As per the reports by Live Law, the following suggestions has been put forward for the CBSE Class 12 evaluation scheme 2021.
-
The option to improvise the results must be given at the outset, the beginning at self, before the declaration of results.
-
There should be uniform criteria for assessment for CBSE and ICSE. Now, both boards have different criteria.
-
Marking should be based on the performance of the current batch and not on any previous batch.
As per the released CBSE Class 12 evaluation criteria, results of Class 12th board examinations will be prepared by adding 30% marks of best three subjects of Class 10th, 30% marks of Class 11th, and 40% marks of unit test, mid-term or pre-board exams of Class 12th.
Whereas, according to the ISC evaluation criteria , the ISC 12th result 2021 will be evaluated on the basis of 60% of the scaled score (from Class 11 and Class 12 class tests), 30% of the subject project and practical work, and 10% Class 10 board percentage.
