Also, candidates who have already initiated their registration but have not made the payment can submit their application with the required fee till today.
Candidates can correct their name, date of birth, programme applied for, and reservation eligibility during the CLAT 2026 application form correction. The CLAT 2026 admit card release date is yet to be announced.
CLAT 2026 is scheduled to be held on December 7 from 2 pm to 4 pm in a pen-and-paper-based mode. CLAT is conducted for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate law courses offered by 25 National Law Universities (NLUs) across the country.
The CLAT 2026 syllabus includes 5 sections, including English language, logical and legal reasoning, general knowledge, current affairs, and quantitative techniques. The paper will comprise 120 questions of 1 mark each.

CLAT 2026: How to update test city preferences?
The steps to update the test location preferences on the portal are as follows:
- Visit the CLAT 2026 official website.
- Login to your CLAT account
- Click the 'Edit Application' button.
- Navigate to the 'Preferences' tab.
- Check your test location preferences and update if required.
- Click the Next button to go to the ‘Reservation’ tab.
- Scroll down, agree to the declaration, and
- Click the ‘Submit Form’ button.
As per the CLAT 2026 marking scheme, candidates will be given 1 mark for every correct answer, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. There’s no negative marking for questions left unanswered.
