The chief minister urged the university to launch new courses in line with the market demand and to discontinue outdated curricula.
"All associate professors and statutory posts officers will be brought under the biometric attendance system from October 31, while the professors will be included later," the university official said.
Accused Kunal, Anand and Saksham Patel's plea was rejected by the court. Government advocation Vinay Singh said the court has summoned the lone eyewitness -- the survivor's friend -- for recording his statement on the next hearing on July 31.
The panel flagged serious governance and infrastructure lapses, ignored sexual harassment complaints, and said the university prioritised its image over law, regulations and diplomatic concerns.
Institute director Suman Chakraborty said the panel would explore academic, social and psychological factors and is expected to submit its recommendations soon.
The high court directed the joint director of collegiate education to grant approval for the 19 appointments made at Loyola College within three months.
The chief minister said the state is emerging as an educational hub, with MBBS seats rising from a few earlier to 400 now. It currently has one government medical college, one society-run facility and one private institute.
Sachin S Gunthe, faculty coordinator at Sindhu Central University, said the university has already launched MTech in Atmospheric and Climate Science and MA in Public Policy at IIT Madras, and MTech in Energy Technology and Policy at IIT Kanpur.
A UGC panel found serious lapses at KIIT University in handling harassment complaints and student welfare, citing administrative failures and poor hostel conditions as contributing factors in two student suicides earlier this year.
