NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will soon release the CTET 2023 final answer key at ctet.nic.in. The CBSE released the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) provisional answer key 2023 and candidates’ response sheets on September 15.
The result of CTET 2023 will also be released this month on the official website, ctet.nic.in. The CBSE will prepare the CTET 2023 final answer key after experts have reviewed the objections raised against the provisional answer key.
The CBSE had allowed to raise objections against the CTET 2023 provisional answer key till 11.59 PM on September 18 by paying Rs 1,000 per question which is non-refundable. Candidates belonging to general category will have to secure 60% marks i.e. 90 from 150 total marks to qualify the CTET 2023 while those belonging for SC, ST and OBC category will be given 5% relaxation i.e. 55% to clear the exam.
Candidates clearing the paper 1 and paper 2 of CTET will be able to apply for Classes 1 to 5 and Classes 6 to 8 teaching posts, respectively.
CTET 2023 score applicability
The CTET scores will be applicable in these school:
- CTET will apply to central government schools, including Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, Central Tibetan schools, etc. and schools under the administrative control of Union Territories (UTs) of Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi.
- CTET may also apply to the participating unaided private schools
- Schools owned and managed by the state government or local bodies and aided schools can also consider CTET scores if not opting for state TET.
29 lakh candidates appeared
The CBSE said more than 29 lakh persons registered for CTET August 2023 exam. Of these 15,01,719 candidates appeared for paper 1 while 14,02,184 sat for paper 2.
