Delhi SoSE Admission 2022: Entrance test from March 26 to 28; govt issues directions

The Directorate of Education (DoE) received more than 55,000 applications till March 3, Delhi education minister Manish Sisodia informed.
NEW DELHI: Delhi Schools of Specialised Excellence (SoSEs) entrance test for admission 2022-23 will be conducted from March 26 to 28.
Sharing the list of exam centres, the Delhi government in an official notification said, “All the Head of Schools of concerned schools as per list attached with this circular are hereby directed to ensure the smooth conduct of scheduled entrance test of Schools of Specialized Excellence to be held on March 26, 27 and 28, 2022.

Concerned school heads will also ensure the availability of rooms and staff required for smooth conduct of scheduled tests in accordance with the number of candidates allotted to their centre, the notification added.
“Head of schools may take appropriate decision at their end regarding smooth conduct of SOSEs entrance test as on March 26 and 28, 2022 being the working days,” the circular further said.

Delhi SoSEs Admission 2022: Eligibility
- Students studying in government, government-aided and recognised schools of Delhi, who are also residents of Delhi (with valid residence proof) are eligible to apply for admission to SoSE.
- At least 50% of the students admitted to SoSE will be from Government or Government Aided schools. After qualifying the aptitude test, students will have to produce a pass certificate of their respective previous class (Class 8 for admission in Class 9 and Class 10 for admission in Class 11 during session 2021-22).
- Students will be selected through an aptitude test that covers mental ability, mathematics and science.

Schools of Specialized Excellence are choice-based schools for Classes 9 to 12 that allow students to specialize in their chosen fields of study. SoSEs have been established in 5 domains: science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), humanities, high-end 21st-century skills, performing and visual arts, and armed forces preparatory school.
