Delhi University extends application deadline for Financial Support Scheme till January 31
Students whose family income is less than Rs 4 lakh will be awarded 100 percent fee waiver under the DU Financial Support Scheme 2022.

NEW DELHI: The Delhi University has extended the last date to submit the application form for Financial Support Scheme (FSS) till January 31, 2023. Students will be able to apply for the scheme on the official website, du.ac.in.
“The scheme offers a fee waiver to economically weaker students in line with the Government's motto "Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas". The fee waiver under the scheme will include all components of fee paid by students except examination fee and hostel fee,” the university said. “UG, PG students admitted in the colleges are not eligible for this scheme,” it said.
According to the eligibility criteria announced by Delhi University, a full-time bonafide student that studies at University of Delhi in its department and institutions belonging to an economically weak section are eligible to apply. Students with ER or arrears of previous exams are not eligible to apply for the scheme, it said.

Students applying for the scheme will have to submit the application form and the required documents to the Dean Students' Welfare (DSW) office. Candidates whose family income is less than Rs 4 lakh will be awarded 100 percent fee waiver, while those who fall under category 2 with family income between Rs 4 lakh to Rs 8 lakh will get 50% fee waiver.
Students will have to produce the annual income certificate for the last financial year issued by Tehisldar or competent authority. In addition, they will have to submit the marksheet of last exam passes, a copy of bonafide students in degree or PG course, fee receipt and copy of the bank passbook.
