Delhi University gets AICTE approval to start MBA in ODL mode from 2022-23 session

NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi’s Campus of Open Learning (COL) has received All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)’s nod for starting an MBA programme in Open and Distance Learning mode from the academic session 2022-23. DU is not waiting for the approval from Distance Education, Bureau, University Grant Commission (DEB-UGC) after which it will commence the MBA course.

“The University of Delhi has received the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme to be launched from the Academic Session 2022-23 through Open and Distance Learning Mode. Now, the approval of the Distance Education Bureau, University Grant Commission (DEB-UGC) is awaited. As soon as the DEB-UGC approval is received, the programme will be started,” said Professor Payal Mago, director, COL, DU.

DU’s Campus of Open Learning at Keshav Puram, offers short term professional courses to the students of University of Delhi. Here, the students are being nurtured through practical vocational training with relevant industry interface. Short period of hands-on work assignments helps to build the skills required for employability in the relevant sectors, reads the official COL website.

There are many students enrolled in Delhi University’s School of Open Learning (SOL), non-collegiate boards, open and online learning of other colleges and institutions who may not be having any interactions or professional exposure at par with other students of any regular college. For the benefit of such students, they can apply for admission in career-oriented training programs and skill-based short term certificate courses of the Delhi University, the website added.
