Delhi University PG classes start from September 1
DU 2023-24: Theory exams for the 1st and 3rd semesters will start from December 30, 2023, and for the 2nd and 4th semesters, from May 20, 2024.

NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi (DU) has released the academic calendar for postgraduate programmes. The classes for the academic session 2023-24, semester 1st and semester 3rd will commence on September 1, 2023.
As per the schedule, classes will be dispersed on December 22 and students will get preparatory leave from December 22 to December 29, 2023. Practical exams will be conducted during the same period and the theory exams will start from December 30, 2023.

The classes for the 2nd and 4th semesters will commence on January 15, 2024. The students will have a mid-semester break from March 24 to March 31, 2024. Classes will be dispersed on May 12, 2024, and the preparatory leave and conduction of the practical exams will be from May 12 to May 19, 2024. The theory exams will be conducted from May 20, 2024. The students will have their summer vacations from June 2 to July 21, 2024.

In its official notification the University of Delhi said,” To give effect to the academic calendar for the academic session 2023-24, the existing academic calendar for the postgraduate programmes for the academic session 2022-23 issued vide notification no. Acad.1/299/Academic Calendar/761 dated 25.11.2022 for semester I and II has been amended accordingly ”.
