Department of school education reviews 13 thousand grievance files under Special Campaign 3

The ministry of education said it has identified 10,787 files for weeding out, of which 6,082 files underwent the process.

NEW DELHI: The education ministry under the Special Campaign 3 has disposed of several public grievances, references from members of Parliament, cleanliness drive in the workplace and around the premises and weeding out of files.

The campaign began on September 15 at the department of school education and literacy of the ministry. The swachhata initiative commenced with a preparatory phase aimed at identifying specific targets to be taken up for cleaning for the main phase of the campaign, which is being conducted from October 2 to 31.

The department said out of 37,201 files identified for review, 13,087 files have been reviewed. A total of 10,787 physical files have been identified for weeding out, of which 6,082 files have been weeded out.

The cleanliness campaign is in full swing and has been conducted at 8,652 sites across schools and institutions to achieve the ministry's targets during this period.

The primary focus of this campaign is to enhance space management in offices and create awareness among the masses about Swachhata.

Since the beginning of the preparatory phase of the special campaign, the department along with its autonomous bodies have identified various cleanliness sites across the country. On September 18, Sanjay Kumar administered the swachhata pledge and panch pran to all officials of this ministry.

Dedicated nodal officers have been assigned at all the autonomous bodies of the department. Regular meetings are conducted for monitoring of the progress in achieving the target set by the ministry at every autonomous body.

The department said a centralised dump yard and e-waste store has been created to dispose of unused furniture and fixtures and IT equipment, respectively.
