The university introduced two five-year integrated law programmes - BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) - through CLAT score. Although the Bar Council of India ( BCI ) approved 120 seats, 60 for each course, the decision to grant admission through CLAT was challenged in Delhi HC.
The petition sought that the admissions to the five-year integrated law course be done through the CUET-UG 2023 like other central universities. However, after the University Grants Commission (UGC) said CUET is not mandatory for professional specialised courses like law, engineering and medicine, the court allowed university to admit students through CLAT for this academic year 2023-24.
