DU cut off 2021 to be out by Oct 1; Admissions to commence from Oct 4

NEW DELHI: Delhi University and its affiliated colleges are likely to release the Delhi University 1 st cut off list by October 1 for undergraduate programmes, while the admissions against the DU 1 st cut 2021 will begin from October 4. This has been confirmed by one of the senior Delhi University officials.
Earlier, the 1 st cut off of DU 2021 was slated to be out between September 7 to 10, however, considering that the results of CBSE compartment exams, optional and improvement examinations and NEET and JEE would be out by then, the dates for the release of DU cutoff list 2021 for the first round have been revised.
"We are planning to start by October 1. With October 2 and 3 being holidays, we will start the admission process by October 4," Pinki Sharma, dean, admissions, Delhi University was quoted saying to PTI.
It must be noted that the DU admission 2021 for undergraduate programmes began on August 2, while the admission portal for PG courses opened on July 26, in online mode. Aspiring candidates can fill the DU application form 2021 for UG admissions till August 31, while the DU admission portal for PG courses will come to a close on August 21.
Delhi University offers admissions to most of the UG programmes based on the merit of the qualifying examination, except a few courses which are through the entrance exam – Delhi University Entrance Exam (DUET). According to the official dates, the DUET will be conducted by NTA from September 26 to October 1.
This year, the varsity will offer around 70,000 UG seats and 20,000 PG seats to eligible candidates. Candidates seeking admissions to the undergraduate courses across the Delhi University colleges are advised to check how the DU cut off marks are derived taking into account the best of four marks and the last year’s cut off marks. Aspirants can also check the key points they should know about DU admissions 2021.
Earlier, with over 70,000 students scoring above 95% marks in CBSE Class 12 th board exams, Careers360 had reported that the DU cut off 2021 will be highly competitive .
With the opening of the DU UG admission portal 2021, the varsity has received 2,70,106 applications in 16 days, while 1,41,899 PG applicants have registered for PG admissions in 23 days. Besides this, 19,848 candidates have registered for M.Phil/P.hD courses. Within a week, the DU UG portal had recorded 1,58,889 applications .
