Education ministry launches free AI-powered career guidance app for students

My career advisor app offers over 1,500 AI-recommended career options, shareable reports, detailed preparation guides.
The Ministry of Education has launched a career guidance app for students that uses artificial intelligence to advise learners, parents about choosing the right career paths. "My Career Advisor App" was officially launched in July during the 5th anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at the Akhil Bhartiya Samagam (ABBS).
The app provides AI-matched career pathways, shareable reports and detailed preparation guides to help students explore more than 1,500 career options with "clarity and confidence".
“My Career Advisor” is a one-stop career guidance and awareness platform for students, teachers, parents, and counsellors. It makes career exploration simple, interactive, and accessible for all, said the National Council of Educational Research and Training ( NCERT ).
The platform offers AI-powered recommendations on career, based on the aptitude, interests, values, and other aspects of students. It allows parents, teachers, and counsellors to share insights and guidance free of cost.

"Aligned with the vision of NEP 2020 , Ministry of Education has launched “My Career Advisor” App, which provides students with personalised guidance on career pathways, courses and institutions. The app empowers students to make decisions about their academic and professional choices," said MoE in a post on X.
"As a teacher or counsellor, your guidance shapes young lives. With ‘My Career Advisor by MoE’ app, mentoring becomes more impactful," it added.
With the help of this app, parents can also play an active role in shaping the aspirations of their child, the education ministry believes. The app unlocks several careers paths customised to the strengths and interests of each student. Shareable reports and guidance features make it easier for parents to walk alongside their children in their career journey, it asserted.
