Education ministry starts registration for Yuva Sangam phase III

The ministry said students of 20 higher education institutes will visit 22 states and union territories of the country.
NEW DELHI: The ministry of education opened the registration portal for Phase III of Yuva Sangam under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) today. Youth in the age group of 18 to 30 years, mainly students, National Service Scheme volunteers, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangthan volunteers, employed and self-employed persons, and others. may register through for the initiative.
The initiative is aimed at promoting cultural connect between youth of different regions of the country. Yuva Sangam, launched under EBSB, draws inspiration from the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and focuses on experiential learning and imbibing knowledge of the rich diversity of the country on a first-hand basis, the ministry said.
Under phase III, the ministry has identified 20 eminent institutions in the country whose students will visit 22 states and union territories. The students will be sent to exposure tours for the youth, including on-campus and off-campus students, from one state to another. Exposure under five areas such as tourism, traditions, development, people-to-people connect, and technology.
The exposure tours will be 5 to 7 days long during which they will get an immersive experience of various facets of the state they are visiting and interact with the local youth.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had mooted the idea of Yuva Sangam on October 31, 2015 and EBSB was launched on October 31, 2016.

Yuva Sangam has been organised collaboratively on the model of Kashi Tamil Sangamam (KTS) and has garnered immense response and participation from all corners of India. More than 3,240 people across India have participated in 73 tours in various phases of Yuva Sangam including the pilot phase under EBSB.
