FLAME University partners with Harvard University's CGA for research on health, population policy

The Flame University, Harvard University partnership aims to do global research on population, health, and development concerns, with a focus on maternal and child nutrition.
NEW DELHI: FLAME University has announced a partnership with Harvard University's Centre for Geographic Analysis (CGA). This collaboration lays the groundwork research in the important fields of nutrition, health and population policy.
The partnership aims to do global research on population, health, and development concerns, with a focus on maternal and child nutrition. More specifically, the joint study will analyse secondary datasets from Demographic and Health Surveys from over 190 low and middle-income countries to better understand the geographical variation and cross-country comparisons in the prevalence of health and nutrition outcomes among children.
Technical support from Harvard University
Anthropometric failures, anaemia, communicable illnesses, healthcare delivery services, and long-term development objectives are some examples. The research will be carried out with technical assistance from Harvard University's Centre for Geographic Analysis, and will be guided by S V Subramanian, a Harvard University professor.
Dishan Kamdar, vice-chancellor of FLAME University, commented on the partnership, saying, "We are honoured to join forces with Harvard University's Center for Geographic Analysis, a beacon of excellence in geospatial research. This collaboration underscores our commitment to advancing knowledge and addressing pressing global challenges through interdisciplinary research."
Knowledge exchange seminars
The partnership will not only encourage faculty exchange programmes, but will also involve capacity-building workshops and knowledge exchange seminars to promote academic progress and cross-cultural learning opportunities at both universities.
