Try NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc Bangalore) will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024) for eight subjects tomorrow. The GATE 2024 is being held for 30 subjects for admission into postgraduate programmes in Indian institutes of technology and IISc Bangalore. GATE 2024 Exam live
The exam for subject codes AR, CY, DA, ES, PI will be conducted in the morning shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. In the evening shift, exams for papers GE, ME, PH will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The exams for remaining 22 subjects will be held on February 4, 10 and 11.
The papers will have 65 questions, including 10 from general aptitude. The students will have to attempt multiple-choice questions (MCQs), multiple-select questions (MSQs) and numerical-answer type (NAT) questions in computer mode.

GATE 2024: Important guidelines
Candidates appearing for the GATE 2024 will have to follow these instructions:
- Candidates should have taken their seats in the exam hall before the starting time of the examination. Candidates will not be allowed to login 30 minutes after the starting time of the examination
- Candidate with permitted delayed entry will not get any extra time
- Mobile phones, physical calculators, wallets, watches of any type, any electronic or communicating devices, books, papers, loose sheets, pencil box and any other similar items will not be allowed inside the examination hall
- The examination authorities will be provided with a virtual scientific calculator on the computer screen, which has to be used to answer the questions
- No arrangements will not be made at the examination centre for keeping the candidates’ belongings such as mobile phones and bags
- Only one scribble pad at any point of time will be provided to the candidate that can be used to do the rough work. To obtain a second scribble pad, the candidate will have to return the first scribble pad.
