IIT Roorkee asks GATE 2025 candidates to rectify defects by March 12 to avoid result ‘withheld’

Try NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has opened the window for correction of defects in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 application forms. Candidates have been advised to clear their defects in order to avoid withholding of GATE 2025 results.
The last date to rectify the details in the GATE application form 2025 is March 12. Applicants can make changes on the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
“The defect rectification for provisional candidates is now open up to 12th March 2025. Provisional candidates are instructed to login through GOAPS portal and clear their defects to avoid result withheld,” says the institute on the official website.
GATE answer key 2025 was issued on February 27 along with GATE response sheet 2025 . Candidates were allowed to raise objections against the provisional answer key till March 1. After examining the grievances submitted by the candidates, the subject experts will release the GATE 2025 final answer key with changes, if any.
As per GATE 2025 exam analysis , the exam was overall moderate in difficulty level, having questions from previous-year question papers (PYQs). The exam was held for a duration of three hours. The GATE 2025 question paper comprised two sections – general aptitude and candidate’s selected subject.

As per the GATE 2025 marking scheme , there will be negative marking for wrong answers in the multiple choice questions. The entrance exam was held in 11 more examination cities this year for 30 test papers.
GATE 2025 result will be prepared and declared on March 19, based on the final answer key. GATE exam 2025 was conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16 in two shifts for admission to postgraduate programmes offered by the IITs, National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), and Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) recruitment.
