Great Lakes PGPM admission 2027-28: The redesigned one-year MBA programme introduces dual concentrations, GenAI labs, an analytics-focused curriculum and industry-driven experiential learning.

Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, has commenced admissions for the 2027-28 batch of its flagship one-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM). The institute has redesigned the programme as “PGPM 2.0” with a stronger focus on artificial intelligence (AI), analytics, dual specialisations and experiential learning.
According to the institute's press release, the revamped curriculum has been developed in consultation with industry leaders from organisations including Accenture, Deloitte, Havells, ZS Associates and Shaadi.com, along with recruiters, alumni and academic experts.
As per the press release, the cycle 1 admissions for the 2027-28 batch are currently open. The institute said the admission process for PGPM 2.0 will include profile-based early interviews.
Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution and having at least two years of full-time work experience as of April 30, 2027, are eligible to apply for PGPM.
The institute said the redesign aims to meet the growing demand for professionals who can combine management knowledge with technological and analytical skills. Great Lakes Gurgaon has shifted from its earlier elective-based major-minor structure to an application-driven learning model.
One of the major highlights of PGPM 2.0 is the introduction of a dual concentration model. Under the new structure, students can choose from functional specialisations — finance, marketing and operations — along with industry specialisations such as consulting, product management and analytics.
The programme also includes experiential learning labs designed to provide practical exposure to real-world business challenges. Some of the newly introduced labs include Building Through GenAI, Product Lab, Business Consulting Lab, Communication Lab, Storytelling with Data and Innovation Sandbox.
The curriculum further covers emerging competencies such as applied analytics, data interpretation and data storytelling through industry live projects and simulation-based learning.
V P Singh, programme director, PGPM, Great Lakes Gurgaon, said, “The impact of generative AI on business is profound, and management education must evolve accordingly. With PGPM 2.0, we are moving from a traditional menu of electives to a deliberately designed, future-ready learning pathway. Our focus is on helping students apply knowledge, solve business problems and develop capabilities that remain relevant in a rapidly changing environment.”

Providing feedback on the redesign, Jones Mathew, principal and head of institution at Great Lakes Gurgaon, said, “Organisations today value professionals who can contribute across functions while bringing deep expertise in specific domains. Through dual concentrations, experiential learning and AI-enabled business skills, PGPM 2.0 aims to develop graduates who can create meaningful impact from day one.”
The programme accepts valid GMAT scores from 2024 onwards, CAT 2025 or 2026 scores, XAT 2026 or 2027 scores and NMAT scores from 2025 onwards. Candidates are also required to submit one professional recommendation as part of the application process.
