Haryana school timings to change from February 15 for smooth conduct of board exams

Haryana Board Exams 2024: The state government announced revised school timings for single and double shift schools.
NEW DELHI: The Haryana education department has announced new school timings for all schools in view of smooth conduct of board exams 2024. The revised school timings will apply from February 15. The Haryana school timings will get changed to 8 am - 2:30 pm for single-shift schools and while the school timings in Haryana for double-shift schools are 7 am - 12:30 pm and 12:45 pm - 6:15 pm.
“You are informed that in view of the smooth conduct of annual examinations, the following changes are made in the schools from 15 February 2024,” said the directorate of education in a letter to officials.
Haryana Class 12 board exams 2024 will be held from February 27 to April 2 whereas HBSE Class 10 board exams 2024 will be conducted from February 27 to to March 26.
The state government had revised the school timings in Haryana in November last year due to the cold wave. The timings for single shift schools had been revised to 9:30 am to 3:30 pm while the dual shift schools were asked to run classes from 7:55 am to 12:30 pm in the first shift and from 12:40 pm to 5:15 pm in the second shift.
The state government had earlier announced the closure of schools for students of Classes 1 to 5 till January 27 in view of the intense cold wave. Schools had opened after a 22-day holiday when the closure was announced again.
