How to crack CUCET 2021? Check exam pattern, preparation tips here
The CUCET examination proposed in the new National Education Policy will act as a gateway for admission to 41 central universities.
NEW DELHI: The introduction of the common entrance test, CUCET, by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions to 41 central universities, has put students in uncertainty as there is no clarity on how to go ahead with the preparation for the exam. Therefore, we have listed some preparation tips to crack the CUCET 2021 exam with a good score.
The newly proposed CUCET exam will replace the CUCET entrance test, which was hosted by the Central University of Rajasthan last year. The much-awaited Central Universities Common Entrance Test is expected to be held by the end of June.
While some of the participating universities will provide admissions to their programmes solely on the basis of CUCET score, others like Delhi University will consider the CUCET marks on the preparation of All India Merit along with the last qualifying examination score.
The CUCET exam will be conducted in both Hindi and English language in computer-based mode. The total duration of the CUCET exam will be three hours.

It must be noted that there is a negative marking and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. Therefore, candidates should make sure that they avoid marking the wrong answer.
CUCET preparation tips
In order to ace the CUCET examination, one must have a sound preparation strategy without which all the effort may be in vain. Candidates must be on their toes in preparation in order to qualify the entrance exam and get a seat in their desired college and programme, as the national level proposed examination is going to be competitive.
Know all CUCET syllabus
The first and foremost thing to do in order to kickstart the exam preparation is to know all the important topics and units covered in the CUCET syllabus. Candidates must note down that no topic is left uncovered for common aptitude test and domain-specific test.
Prepare a study timetable
Based on the syllabus of CUCET, candidates can make a timetable to cover all the topics and leave some time for revision on a daily basis. The timetable should not be monotonous, otherwise, aspirants might lack their interest and it can take more than the required time to complete the syllabus.
Practice sample papers and mock tests
Candidates can practice JNUEE and DUET sample papers and mock tests for PG admissions, as the pattern of the examination may be similar to the CUCET exam.
Revision is the key
The last few days before the CUCET exam should be reserved for revision. During this time, candidates can refer to sticky notes and revise as much as they can. This regular exercise of revision will help the candidates to remember things well and make their basics strong.
