HPCET counselling 2026 registration begins at himtu.ac.in; documents required

HIMTU has started HPCET 2026 counselling registration for engineering admissions, with seat allocation based on JEE Main scores, HPCET ranks and eligibility criteria
Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HIMTU) has begun the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) counselling registration 2026 on the official website of HIMTU at himtu.ac.in. Candidates should note that the detailed HPCET 2026 counselling schedule is yet to be released by the authorities and is expected to be announced shortly.
The counselling process for HPCET 2026 is expected to be conducted in two rounds for seat allotment and admissions. Candidates have to finish the counselling registration for admissions into participating institutes.
For admissions, 50 per cent of the seats will be filled based on JEE Main scores, while the remaining seats will be allotted through HPCET ranks. If seats still remain vacant, Class 12 marks may also be considered as per the admission policy.

HPCET Counselling 2026: Documents required
The documents required for the counselling are:
- Qualifying examination pass certificate and marksheet
- JEE Main 2026 result/scorecard
- Class 10 certificate (proof of date of birth)
- Character certificate from last attended institution
- Bonafide/domicile certificate (if applicable)
- Himachal Pradesh domicile certificate (for HP candidates)
- Reserved category certificate (if applicable)
- PwD/Physically challenged certificate (if applicable)
- Income certificate (for tuition fee waiver applicants)
- Affidavit for beti hai anmol scheme (if applicable)
- Domicile certificate for Kashmiri migrants
- Medical fitness certificate (for yoga students)
For candidates applying through JEE Main, the HPCET counselling fee is Rs 1,600 for those belonging to the Open category, while candidates from the SC, ST and BPL categories are required to pay a reduced counselling fee of Rs 800.
