IGNOU portal onlinerr.ignou.ac.in is now open for Indian and international students to continue their courses for next academic term
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for re-registration for programmes for the July 2025 session. Students who are already enrolled in an IGNOU course have to re-register themselves for the next term before July 15, in order to continue their course.
The IGNOU re-registration portal - onlinerr.ignou.ac.in - is open now for both Indian and international students. In order to register on the portal, students have to follow these steps:
- Click on ‘New Registration’ and submit operational contact number and e-mail ID
- Once registered, login using your username and password (username is your enrollment number for the course)
- Choose the desired courses for the next term. For details on the respective courses, students can refer to their Programme Guide.
- Make online payment. Fees can be paid through card, net banking, and UPI, including BHIM app. International students may use the online payment options available to them.
- In case a student is using third-party services for filling the re-registration form, they should keep a printout of the form submitted and the payment confirmation receipt.
In case the payment status is not updated, students should not make a second payment immediately. IGNOU advises students to wait for a day, check the payment status again, and then decide. If payment is made twice for the same application, one of the payments will be refunded.

IGNOU re-registration: July 2025 session
IGNOU re-registration portal instructs students to not wait until the last date for form submission. Any delays or payment failures may lead to unsuccessful re-registration.
If a candidate faces difficulty in logging in to the IGNOU July 2025 re-registration portal, such as not getting a one-time password (OTP) or forgetting username or password, they can approach their regional centre for resetting of their account or changing username or password.
IGNOU advises students to read course details carefully before making a choice. Changing the course later on will lead to reduced time for exam preparation.
