IIIT Delhi BTech, MTech, PhD admission 2025-26 process for international students starts

IIIT Delhi Admission 2025: The institute will conduct an online maths test for the BTech, MTech, PhD admissions. Students can apply through ia.iiitd.ac.in before the deadline.

The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT Delhi) has commenced its BTec, MTech, and PhD admission process for international students for the academic year 2025-26. The deadline to submit the application form through the official website, ia.iiitd.ac.in, for the IIIT Delhi 2025 admission is January 15.
The institute has divided the admission process for the international students into three levels- early action, regular action, and late action. The online test for the BTech, MTech and PhD programmes for international students opting for ‘early action’ will be conducted tentatively on January 21. Such students will have to submit their score by January 18.
Whereas, the application deadline for foreign students who opt ‘regular action’ is February 21 and those who choose ‘late action’ will have to register before April 15.
Apart from the degree courses for the international students, IIIT Delhi also provides minor programmes in economics. This minor program will provide basic training in microeconomics, game theory, and econometrics. An undergraduate student can earn a minor certification in economics by completing a total of 20 credits from economics courses, as per the institute.
Eligibility criteria for IIIT Delhi BTech, MTech, PhD
BTech eligibility - Applicants who have passed a qualifying exam equivalent to CBSE Class 12 with mathematics and physics as the mandatory subjects will be considered eligible. Those appearing in the upcoming board exams will also be allowed to submit applications for BTech admissions.
MTech eligibility - To be eligible for MTech course at IIIT Delhi, candidates should have completed or pursued a BTech, BS, MSc or equivalent qualifying programme as described in the admission criteria of the desired programme to which admission is sought. Those pursuing their final year degree programme will also be eligible for MTech admissions.
PhD eligibility - Candidates should have completed or pursued a BTech, BS, MTech, MS, MSc or equivalent qualifying programme. Based on the qualifying exam considered for admission, the coursework at IIIT-Delhi will be similar to that of the Indian students. Candidates may apply during or after their final year undergraduate or postgraduate course.

In the first step, students should fill an online application form to sit in the online maths test. After qualifying the exam, the institute will hold an interaction with the eligible candidates, followed by decision notification and fee submission.
