IIM Bodh Gaya conducts training program with State Health Society, Bihar
IIM Bodhgaya trains Bihar healthcare professionals to work more efficiently and form stronger institutions

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya will help in training the healthcare professionals under the government of Bihar in leadership, motivation and behavioural aspects of healthcare management. Following an agreement signed between IIM Bodhgaya and the state health society, the IIM conducted training from November 29 to December 3, 2021.
The agreement for this collaboration was signed between Vinita S Sahay, director of IIM Bodh Gaya and Sanjay Kumar Singh, executive director of State Health Society of Bihar. Mangal Pandey, health minister of Bihar was present during the signing of the agreement.

“This memorandum of understanding is a step towards building a long term association between IIM Bodh Gaya and the State Health Society of Bihar to create a world-class healthcare infrastructure in the state. The goal is to improve the health status of rural poor through awareness of the people and professionals and building the capacity of the health workers”, said Pandey.

IIM Bodh Gaya intends to provide expertise to the health professionals so as to enable them to work more efficiently and form stronger institutions for long term and sustainable development of the state. The first training program under this collaboration was held for five days. Different facets of management and leadership skills in the field of health care were discussed during the event. IIM Bodh Gaya professors delivered lectures and presentations that could help in building stronger and better health institutions.
