IIM Indore professor Pawan Singh joins MDI Gurgaon as new Director

NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 15: Indian Institute of Management Indore professor Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh has been appointed as the Director of Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon.
Prior to joining MDI Gurgaon, Dr. Singh has has served as the Director-in-charge of IIM Indore. Donning the hat of a Nodal Officer, he served as a sheet anchor in the role of a mentor at IIM Sambalpur and also remained the Chairperson of Academic Committee of IIM Sambalpur.
Speaking on his appointment, Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, Director – MDI Gurgaon, commented, “It’s a matter of great privilege for me to take charge of one of the India’s premier B-schools. I am keen to advance the progress driven by my predecessors and to take the institute at higher level. In alignment with the vision of MDI, I will continue to further the institute’s mission of nurturing thought leaders of tomorrow. I will also strive to create an ethics-driven and knowledge-enhancing ecosystem within the institute based on the core principles of entrepreneurial thought, organisational commitment, and community-driven ambition.”
He has already distinguished himself as one of the leading authorities in the field of post-graduate teaching in management, training, research, consulting and academic administration. His prolific academic career, spanning over three decades, marks him in the key leadership roles across various academic and government bodies. He
Dr. Singh earned his doctorate degree in Management from Vikram University, Ujjain, and has guided research at PhD level. He did his masters in Economics from Ranchi University and holds a postgraduate degree in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi. He has published numerous research papers, two books, one booklet in the field of people management. In addition to being on the editorial boards of reputed journals, he has presented about 75 research papers in national and international seminars both in and out of India.
