IIM Jammu to start Executive MBA for professionals in blended mode

IIT Jammu’s programme will include on-campus and online classes spread over six terms in two years.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu has launched a two-year executive MBA programme to be taught in blended mode.
The programme is specially designed for working executives from industry, corporates, government organizations, armed or paramilitary forces, NGOs, and entrepreneurs.
The programme includes on-campus and online learning modules spread over six terms in two years.The students will also visit the campus for a week to discuss and experience the classroom learning module, and the rest of the module will be completed in online mode.
In addition, the programme has a week-long immersion programme for students’ exposure to global and rural environments. “This one-week immersion program will take place after the successful completion of the first year of executive MBA. The global immersion will expose the participants to the unique learning methods followed by the international partners of IIM Jammu, whereas the rural immersion will be immersing the participants with the knowledge and working cultures of rural India,” and official statement said.
In the last two terms, students will also prepare a dissertation under IIM Jammu teachers. The project will provide the real-life application of the concepts discussed during the class interactions.
IIM Jammu selection process
Interested candidates will have to appear for IIM Joint Admission Test, or IMJAT 2021, to get admission in the two-year programme. However, candidates who have a valid CAT, GMAT or GRE score obtained during the past three years will be exempted from writing the entrance test. The past three years would be counted from the last date of the admission application.
IIM Jammu will prepare a merit list of students based on CAT, GMAT,GRE or IMJAT scores, academic profile, gender diversity, and personal interview. Academic profile includes Class 10, 12 marks and graduation score or percentage.
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50 percent marks or equivalent CGPA. There is a five percent relaxation for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories. Anyone with a minimum work experience of three years is eligible to apply.
The last date for application is July 31, 2021.
