IIT Bombay announces JAM result for M.Sc. admissions 2018

Download NowNEW DELHI, MARCH 21: The results of Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) 2018 has been announced by the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), the administering institute for the Master’s level exam.

The test-takers will have to enter their registration ID and password to access the result page.
The entrance exam was held on February 11 across 65 cities in India. Candidates can now check their qualifying status and marks, along with secured rank and merit by logging in to their accounts. IIT Bombay will also determine the cutoff of JAM 2018 on the basis of the result.

What after result declaration?
The scorecard (indicating the All India Ranks and marks obtained) will be available for download for qualified candidates from March 27 to July 31. Those, who are declared qualified for the M.Sc. admissions, will be called in to attend the counselling. For this, they need to fill admission form of their respective IITs or IISc between April 3 and 17. The first, second and final admission list will be declared on May 22, June 12, and June 29, respectively. The admission procedure will conclude on July 5.
JAM was held in online mode for admissions to various post graduate (PG) science programmes including integrated PhD, M.Sc, joint M.Sc-Ph.D, M.Sc-Ph.D dual degree, M.Sc-M.Tech, M.Sc-M.S (Research), PhD dual degree and other post-bachelor degree programmes offered at IISc Bangalore and other Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), respectively. Further, admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) is offered through centralized counselling to M.Sc / M.Tech programmes (CCMN).
The JAM is a postgraduate entrance exam to provide admissions to MSc (Four Semesters), Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD Dual Degree, etc. programmes at the IITs and Integrated PhD Degree programmes at IISc for consolidating Science as a career option for students.
Every year, the joint admission test is conducted by an institute among the 16 participating including IISc Bangalore, IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Guwahati, IIT Madras, IIT Patna, and IIT Ropar.
